Jackson HillManaging Director, Principal Engineer
Jackson Hill founded LIVE HV in September 2009 and has overseen its growth as Managing Director while remaining the principal engineer.
On completion of his Electrical Engineering Degree, Jackson joined Reyrolle Pacific Switchgear in Wellington, NZ before relocating to Melbourne with the company. Prior to the establishment of LIVE HV Jackson travelled to Manchester, UK to be trained and accredited by Partial Discharge experts HVPD, whom he represented as an agent for the Asia/Pacific region.
Jackson has completed a Bachelor of Technology and Master of Science from Waikato University, NZ.
Away from work Jackson enjoys competing in ironmans, rugby, fishing, and spending time with his young family.
Paul CookOperations Manager and Assistant Technician
Paul Cook joined LIVE HV as Operations Manager in 2019. Paul is responsible for developing organisational processes to optimise productivity and efficiency. He also provides assistance with on-site jobs. With previous roles in business development and data analysis Paul brings a problem-solving mindset to LIVE HV.
Paul has completed a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration from Victoria University of Wellington, Bachelor of Business Finance from UNISA and an Advanced Diploma of Advertising.
In his spare time Paul enjoys golf, fishing, basketball, and riding motorcycles.
Kate WestbrookTest Engineer
Kate Westbrook joined LIVE HV as a test engineer in 2018. Kate is responsible for testing and analysing results from a range of High Voltage Assets.
Kate completed her Electrical Apprenticeship with Mighty River Power before working for ABB and Wel Networks in New Zealand as an Electrical Fitter specialising in Substation maintenance. Kate’s recent experience specialising in switchgear as a Field Service Technician for Machine Monitor strengthens LIVE HV’s capability of testing across the full suite of High Voltage assets.
Kate is a Registered Electrician and has obtained a certificate in Electrical Engineering.
Outside of work Kate enjoys working on classic cars.
Jaspar MattersTest Engineer
Jaspar Matters joined LIVE HV as a test engineer in 2018. Jasper is responsible for testing and analysing results from a range of High Voltage Assets.
Jaspar joins LIVE HV following 4 years at Newcrest Mining Cadia Valley, gaining experience in both surface and underground operations. With a broad range of experience installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical equipment and machinery, Jaspar’s expertise in preventative maintenance is a welcome addition to LIVE HV.
Jaspar has obtained a Cert II and Cert III in Electrotechnology.
Outside of work Jaspar enjoys tennis, squash and loves to get away camping.
A highly skilled engineer Matt brings an analytical and practical approach.Matt has completed a Bachelor of Engineering (electrical and electronics) Hons at the Swinburne University of Technology and is currently completing a Masters in Engineering. Away from work Matt spends his time with house renovation and adventure activities such as mountain biking and orienteering.
Alanah JarvisContracts and Administration
With a friendly demeanour Alanah oversees the LIVE HV Quality, Health and Safety Management System and is making continuous improvements to ensure all LIVE HV services are provided without standing quality in a safe manner. She also provides contract and administration support. Previously working in quality improvement in healthcare, Alanah has a Masters in Public Health and brings a wealth of experience and fresh approach to LIVE HV. Outside of work life, Alanah is a talented artist and enjoys paddle boarding amongst various outdoor activities.
