Transformer Partial Discharge Monitoring
LIVE HV can also provide PD measurements for Transformers to determine their insulation condition. The Longshot Monitor is used with portable HFCT's, Acoustic and TEV sensors or permanently installed Bushing Coupler Units to detect and locate any discharge. For oil filled transformers the testing is often used in conjunction with Dissolved Gas Analysis (DGA) to locate any identified issues and check transformer bushings.
